Compliance

Built by a dealer who is also a compliance attorney.

Dennis Walsh owned a dealership for 23 years and advises dealers on compliance through Lot Law. The guardrails in Dealer Duo come from that work.

Advertising. Catch the problem before the post goes out.

Social posts are checked before they go out

A payment, a rate, or a lease offer in a post brings disclosure rules with it. We read every post for those claims and point at the exact words.

  • Payment, down payment, APR, and lease claims
  • Posts in English and Spanish
  • What is said out loud in a video, in English
  • Each post is tied to a real vehicle in inventory

The store decides what waits for approval

A dealership can hold posts until someone approves them, send one back with a reason, or reject it.

  • One queue for the whole team
  • Flags when a posted vehicle sells or changes price
  • Posts made outside Dealer Duo get reviewed as well

Prices stay off until someone stands behind them

Prices on inventory cards are off by default. Turning them on means confirming, with the dealership, that every price is one any buyer can get.

  • The confirmation is recorded with who made it and when
  • Cards lead with the total price, fees included
  • A price that is missing or out of date shows as Call for price

Customers and their information. Follow up without crossing a line.

Know who can see customer information

Dealerships handle financial information about real people. Tower shows who has access and lets you review it on a schedule.

  • Roles for each person, and switches for each seat
  • An access review with a sign-off that is saved
  • A record of every lead export
  • Vendors read only the parts of a lead you approve

A record of what happened

When a question comes up later, there is something to look at.

  • An activity log for the store
  • Each sales associate can see what the store did on their desk
  • Approvals and send-backs kept with the post

What this does not do

These checks catch common problems. They are not legal advice, and they do not certify that a post, a price, or a dealership complies with any law. Rules differ by state and province, and the dealership is responsible for its own advertising.
